Welcome to "Project Paracord," a "Perpetual Revolution" Operation. Here I'm offering some handbraided items such as bracelets, keychains, lanyards, etc., all made from 550 paracord.
Paracord is a short name for Parachute Cord, which has been used by the military for many years. Apparently the military has ended its monopoly on it, for now it seems to be everywhere. It’s a lightweight, nylon rope that stands up well against the elements, it’s rated with a minimum breaking strength of 550 pounds (hence the number 550), and it has a braided sheath with 7 interwoven strands inside, which can be removed for a multitude of other uses. Some of the things it can be used for are animal snares, dental floss or venetian blinds (see a more complete list below).
Depending on the size, a paracord bracelet or other accessory can have well over ten feet of paracord. Carrying around one of these paracord items is a great way to be prepared for any contingency that may arise. How many time have you or a loved one found yourselves unprepared when a need to snare an animal or hang some venetian blinds presented itself?
Seriously though, it really is invaluable in any outdoor kit, or just to have around the house. I’m fairly new in this business, and I hope to offer a larger variety and more elaborate items as I continue to learn and practice. I’m not here to get rich, so I’m trying to keep my prices low. And since these things make pretty good stocking stuffers, from now through Christmas I’m offering one item free with the purchase of every ten items. Like always with these deals, if it’s different items being purchased, the free one has to be the one with the lowest value. I think that’s kind of standard. Oh, and of course they have to all go to the same address. I think that’s standard in the small print too.
